Melting Ice:
What's the Big Deal?

Inspired by the documentary on Greenland's melting ice cap, I wanted to illustrate the effects of global warming on arctic ice. I wanted to illustrate the current effects of global warming we see is only the tip of the iceberg, with much larger and unknown grave effects to come.

Snowman's Winter Cottage

A cheerful snowman stands proudly in the front yard adorned with a vibrant scarf and a knitted beanie. The picturesque scene encapsulates the essence of a perfect winter day evoking feelings of nostalgia and holiday cheer.

A New Start:
The World Through Innocent Eyes

Arts_William_3.jpg

This drawing contrasts a polluted, bleak world with a hopeful vision of a cleaner, greener future. In the background, dark industrial elements symbolize pollution and environmental harm, reflecting current climate struggles. In the foreground, a baby in a blue pajama reaches upward with hope, representing innovation, youth, and those dedicated to positive change. An adult hand guides the baby, symbolizing the support of communities, organizations, and individuals committed to environmental action. The image conveys that with guidance and care, the next generation can shape a brighter, sustainable future.

Misery vs. Mirage

This artwork shows the internal conflict of a human being facing the moment of a significant decision. Taking the red pill symbolizes surrendering to the mirage of superficial existence filled with comfort, pleasure, and nonchalance. On the other hand, taking the blue pill represents embracing misery that comes from taking a challenging path and hardships that may or may not lead to achievements. This stark duality highlights the tension between choosing pleasure without genuine growth and giving up comfort to strive for better. I wanted to depict the struggles of modern day people who always have to choose.
